In the end, Clark chooses to save humanity. He defeats Zod and his soldiers, and he vows to use his powers to protect Earth. Clark Kent becomes Superman, a symbol of hope and justice for all.

Man of Steel was a critical and commercial success. It grossed over $668 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Superman film at the time. The film was praised for its action sequences, visual effects, and Cavill's performance. However, some critics criticized the film's dark tone and violence.
